Six months since opening its doors, Hamberley Neurocare Camberley has marked its half-year milestone with a vibrant spring celebration attended by professionals, families, local stakeholders and even a four-legged guest.
On 14 May, the Camberley team welcomed visitors for an afternoon of connection, reflection and community. The event brought together the people behind the service’s first six months of success, including commissioners, case managers, residents, staff and neighbours. It was an opportunity to showcase the outcomes already taking shape through expert, personalised neurorehabilitation.
A highlight of the afternoon was the ceremonial tree planting, led by the Mayor of Rushmoor, Councillor Mara Makunura, and Home Manager Richard Clark. The tree was planted in the landscaped grounds to celebrate the growth of the service and its commitment to long-term, meaningful impact.
The moment reflected what the event was all about: recognising the progress made and strengthening the service’s roots in the local community.
Guests were greeted with a generous spring-inspired grazing table featuring sweet and savoury treats, alongside welcome drinks including Prosecco and mocktails. Tours of the service gave visitors a chance to see the exceptional environment and facilities that support recovery and independence. There was live entertainment, fantastic caricatures and even a visit from our four-legged friend, who brought smiles to residents and guests alike.
Since opening in late 2024, Hamberley Neurocare Camberley has grown into a thriving service where individuals with complex neurological needs are supported to reach their goals. With specialist facilities and an expert interdisciplinary team, the service offers personalised pathways for rehabilitation, complex care, and long-term neurological support.
Manager Richard Clark said:
“We’re proud of what’s been achieved in our first six months. The event was a chance to thank everyone who’s been part of the journey so far. We’re focused on continuing to deliver outstanding care and outcomes, and it was a pleasure to welcome the community to see that in action.”
